As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), I help older adults explore housing options that prioritize community, wellness, and vibrant living.
Loneliness isn’t just a feeling-it’s a serious health risk. Here’s how connection can transform lives this holiday season.
More than a THIRD of people aged 50 to 80 report feeling lonely and nearly as many say they often feel isolated- these are the REPORTED cases.
This is important because experts say that loneliness can lead to serious health issues, including depression, cognitive decline, chronic inflammation, and even a higher risk of heart disease and early death.
If you or someone you love is feeling lonely or isolated, please know this: you are not alone. And there are ways to reconnect, re-engage, and rebuild community.
Small steps like joining a walking group, volunteering, or attending local events can make a big difference. Even making a move whether to a more social neighborhood, a walkable community, or closer to family can open up new opportunities for connection.
And connection can add years to our lives and life to our years.
If you’re thinking about a move that brings more connection into your life – or the life of someone you love-let’s talk.
